BTB Jansky Contracted to Perform a Plant Status Report with their Process Data Reconciliation System PROCESSPLUS® at Darlington Generating Station in Canada
In a joint co-operation with their new partner for the Canadian market, Fermi Solutions, German engineering and software company BTB Jansky was contracted to assess the current status of plant operation at one unit of Darlington Nuclear Generating Station (DNGS) of utility Ontario Power Generation (OPG), located in the Canadian province Ontario near Toronto.
The report will include indications of erroneous measurements, measurement drifts, measurements out of service and optimization potentials such as increased power by means of recovering lost MW. The report focuses on the relevant parameters for thermal core power.
During the project, the secondary side of one unit at DNGS in the Canadian province of Ontario, is modeled using the VDI 2048 certified PDR/DVR system PROCESSPLUS®.
Furthermore, the report will serve as a feasibility study for PDR/DVR and include recommendations for future correction of feed water flow measurements to sustainably recover lost power and the application of measurement uncertainty recapture (MUR).
BTB Jansky and PROCESSPLUS® are certified according to the revised PDR/DVR standard VDI 2048 (2017). .
