Extreme Environmental Conditions – BTB Jansky Enters into Project with Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and US Nuclear Power Plant
German engineering and software company BTB Jansky entered into a project funded and organized by EPRI with the objective to analyze and assess the impacts of possible extreme environmental conditions on nuclear power plant (NPP) operations. Specifically, implications on cold chains including safety-related cooling positions are evaluated using the VDI 2048 certified Data Validation and Reconciliation (DVR) system PROCESSPLUS® and its reconciliation and simulation capabilities.
A US NPP with cooling towers will serve as the study subject.
BTB Jansky has previously gained their expertise in the field of extreme environmental conditions analysis at an NPP in Switzerland as a response to the Swiss regulator ENSI.
BTB Jansky and PROCESSPLUS® are certified according to the DVR standard VDI 2048 (2017).
